What Is Your Life Missing?

Do you ever find yourself in a funk? Those times when you're down-and-out, low-energy, heavy, and stuck? Every so often I have a chat with my clients about practices and rituals that gently shift us out of our funk and back into a high-vibe way of being.

If you are in this place, know that there is a time for feeling and honouring your pain, discomfort, or frustration that you may be experiencing - it's actually encouraged. On the flip side, there is also a time to pick yourself up, and declare: to bigger and brighter experiences! Let's move on.

That's what this is about. Zeroing in on what's not working so we can invite more of what we want into our lives.

There's a lot of emphasis on finding ease and flow in our lives, but, to get to that space, you have to do some digging first.

1. Create a list of what's not working. Are there any obligations weighing you down? Is there something in your life that once lit you up but feels heavy now? 

2. Purge. Ask yourself, "How would it feel to let go of that (story/ pattern/ commitment)?" Most of the items that are currently resting on your plate are there because you chose to put them there. (Tweet that!) 

Are you being swallowed up by overwhelm because you've taken on more than you can chew? Have you been wanting to make a Big Leap Forward, but told yourself you aren't ready yet? 

It's worth saying that when WE place how we're currently showing up and the 'missteps' that we've taken along the way under the microscope, our inner critic can turn up in a big way. Don't fall down that slippery slope.

Your partner in crime? Compassion, my sweet friend. Simply saying, "Oh! That's where things took a turn. I'm no longer in the dark and I'm grateful for it. Now I'm better equipped to move on."

Remember: it's all about that high-vibe state.


Now that you're crystal clear on what you don't want, it's time to set intentions that will empower you to live in alignment with your truth. In other words, what you actually want to call into your life.

There's heaps of power in identifying the positive feeling: "In letting go of THIS, I now welcome THIS."

Bring clarity to what you want and anchor into how you want to FEEL. (Tweet that!)

What lights you up? What makes you feel alive? What makes you feel... confident, creative, turned on? What brings comfort and ease? What FEELS like a giant YES in every cell of your being?

Say: More of THAT, please.

When you feel stagnant and stuck, make the choice to gently wriggle your way out by declaring a Fresh Slate, and commit to diving into rituals that support and uplift you.

This is what happened to me: I realized that I was getting stuck just "going with the motions" and noticed myself spacing out, or not being as present as I would like to be. Especially as a mama with a little one whose schedule takes priority over everything else, one day often blurred right into the next. Then, it hit me: I had forgotten to actively practice gratitude.

Joy, light, seeking the positive, and bringing more presence to each day. There's the shift.
